You all have to add this recipe to your summer list! It’s so easy to make and requires minimal ingredients. Of course, I am not the originator of this recipe.
This recipe has been around for a while, but I loved it and had to share it on the blog. I did put a little of my own spin on the recipe and added marshmallow creme.
Marshmallow creme is a little thick so it added a little more texture and flavor to the recipe. You will also need pistachio pudding and pie filling, crushed pineapple, cool whip, mini marshmallows and chopped walnuts.
It’s hard to explain the flavor of the pistachio pudding, but I don’t even like pistachio’s and still love it in this recipe!

I’m not going to get into the back story on this recipe.
You can visit our friend Google for that, but I will tell you that it’s interesting. I also have to share a little secret with you guys.
This recipe is traditionally made with crushed pineapples and that is what is listed in my ingredients, but that’s not what I used.
When I purchased all of the other ingredients, I thought that I had crushed pineapples at home. I thought wrong. No worries.
I just improvised and used the pineapple chunks that I had. I drained them and then pulsed them in my food processor for a few seconds and I had crushed pineapple. Problem solved.
I said that to say this, sometimes you have to improvise. If you don’t have something a recipe calls for improvising with something comparable.
We all live in different areas and certain ingredients may not be available where you live. You may choose to order the item online or you can just make it work with what you have.
That’s why the theme of this blog is “Intuitive Cooking for the Soul”. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be made with love!

The combination of this food seems strange and yet it sounds delicious!
Lol! It is addicting! The closest thing I could compare it to would be ambrosia salad.
This is one of my all time favorite desserts but I have never made it before! This inspires to go to the store right now and get the ingredients! Thanks for sharing!
You really should! If you do please let me know how it came out.
This looks amazing. I’ll have to see if I can find the pistachio pudding and pie filling stuff. Not sure they sell them in the UK. Lovely pictures too!
Thank you! I hope you can find it or something similar. It really makes the dessert.
